A celebration of American composers featuring music of Howard Hanson and Christopher Theofanidis. Two, yet unnamed, concerto winners will perform in this concert.

Hanson was a composer, conductor, educator, music theorist, champion of American classical music and long time director of the Eastman School of Music.

Theofanidis’ Rainbow Body was described as having exuberant outbursts of pure diatonic splendor that are not so far removed from Copland’s 'prairie' harmonies.

Theofanidis: Rainbow Body

Concerto Winner#4 : To Be Determined

Hanson: Symphony No. 2
