STREAMED EVENT

This concert is a culmination of a months-long collaborative project between 2021 Kennedy Center Honors recipient Midori and the Rochester Philharmonic Youth Orchestra premiering a contemporary piece of music written by Derek Bermel. This innovative Covid-19 support project was part of Midori’s Orchestra Residencies Program (ORP). Through the technical genius of Producer/Sound Designer, Trevor New, and an adeptly written composition piece, latency issues, normally found in remote performances, were managed. Recording took place on May 23, 2021 at the Churchville-Chili High School Performing Arts Center.
