New student Audition information
New Student Auditions for the 2025-2026 Season will be held at the Eastman School of Music/Eastman Community Music School on:
Saturday, April 26th, 2025 1:00-7:00 PM
Sunday, April 27th, 2025 9:00 AM-12:00 PM
Monday, April 28th, 2025 3:30-6:00 PM
Prospective students will be expected to prepare a NYSSMA Level 6 solo piece (about five minutes in length) and the designated excerpts for your instrument. You can find excerpts listed below on this page. Prospective students will also be asked to sight-read.
The panel of judges will be comprised of RPO musicians and RPYO’s Music Director, Jherrard Hardeman.
